LucknowSquare publishes property listings and information about Lucknow: localities, prices, buying rules and government schemes. This page explains how that information is produced, checked, dated and corrected, so you can judge how far to rely on it.

Who writes and reviews

Guides, locality information and government property explainers are prepared by the LucknowSquare editorial team, which may use software to help draft text. A person is responsible for what is published, and a "Facts last verified" date means a person has checked the facts against their sources. When an article names an author or a reviewer, that is a real person with a profile on the authors page, showing their role and background. An article without a named person is credited to the editorial team. We never publish content under an invented name.

What we publish, and what we do not

  • Information, not advice. Articles are general information about property in Lucknow. They are not legal, tax, investment or financial advice. For a purchase, take advice from a qualified lawyer and, where relevant, a chartered accountant.
  • Listings are posted by sellers. Owners, agents and builders write their own listings. The team reviews each one before it goes live (see property verification), but a listing is the seller's statement, not ours.
  • Asking prices are not valuations. Any price figure we publish from listings is an average of what sellers are asking. It is not an official valuation, a circle rate or a prediction. See the data methodology.
  • Promotion is labelled. A featured placement is marked "Featured" wherever it appears.
  • Demonstration content is labelled. Anything marked "Sample" is demonstration content. It is not a real property or a real article, it is kept out of search engines, and it is never counted in our statistics.

Sources

Information about government schemes, auctions, registration, stamp duty, circle rates and RERA is taken from the official source: the notification, order, notice or website of the authority concerned. Each such article names that source and links to it. Where only a news report is available, we say so and treat the information as less certain.

Three dates, three meanings

  • Published: when the article first went live.
  • Updated: when its text last changed in a way that matters to a reader.
  • Facts last verified: when an editor last re-checked the facts in the article against its sources. This can be later than "Updated" if nothing needed to change.

Rules, fees, dates and schemes change by notification. Whatever the dates say, check the latest official notification before you act on anything here.

Corrections

If you find something wrong or out of date, tell us through the contact page, naming the page and the correct information if you have it. We check it against the source, correct the page, and change the "Updated" date. If a correction changes the meaning of an article, we say so on the page.

Independence

LucknowSquare is an independent platform. It is not a government body and does not represent any development authority, housing board or regulator.
